Chia Seeds
Chia seeds are tiny, nutrient-dense seeds derived from the plant Salvia hispanica, native to Central and South America. They are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, protein, and various vitamins and minerals. Chia seeds have a mild, nutty flavor and are commonly used in smoothies, salads, and baking, as well as for making chia pudding when soaked in liquid. Due to their ability to absorb liquid and form a gel-like texture, they are often used as a thickening agent or egg substitute in vegan recipes.
